The Anadarko SMITH Golf Classic is one of Houston's most recognized charitable golf tournaments.  Participants come together for a common goal of supporting Junior Achievement.  JA's K-12th grade programs teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship, free enterprise, and work force readiness; lessons that will foster Houston's future business leaders.

Buy a Pizza and help JA!

Junior Achievement continues to grow its relationship with both Papa John’s and Coca-Cola. Through May 2009, over $874,000 nationally has been donated back to local JA Offices when Papa John’s customers use the promo Code T2094L, when ordering the Power Lunch Deal or for the Family Dinner Deal, use promo code T209. Here is an easy opportunity for you to support Junior Achievement and its programs!  For every Power Lunch Deal purchased, $8 will be donated to Junior Achievement and for every Family Dinner Deal purchased, $2 will be donated.  This is a winning solution for all participants, especially those hungry people who love pizza!

JA Finance Park introduces students to personal finance and career explorations through classroom instruction complemented by a day-long, hands-on experience in which they apply learned concepts in a life-like community.  During this one-day experience, students assume randomly assigned family and income scenarios and visit businesses to gather information for their personal financial decision-making. Participating students use bank services; contribute to charities; purchase housing, transportation, furnishings, food, health care, and other expenses; make investment decisions, and work to balance their personal budgets. Real-life members of the community such as parents and local businesses are actively involved in the JA Finance Park experience.

The current mobile unit can be brought to a location and set up for a week, accommodating up to 120 students per day.  We need 5,000 square feet for the classroom and simulation.  If you are interested in JA Finance Park for your summer program, or if you have a place where we might be able to set it up, please let us know
